I can't belive I am actually writing this because I have been in serious denial but I weigh just over 17st! I need to loose a hell of a lot and I can't do it alone. I'm starting my diet tomorrow and I need a buddy to help me out. I have tried to loose weight before but I tend to slip into not eating at all and then bingeing. I need to do this properly and healthily because my weight is ruining my life. I am 23 but living the life of an old lady.

  • Hey, I'm starting tomorrow too (and am also 23 - coincidence!) - want to team up so we can help each other out? I'm not exactly sure how much I weigh as we don't have any scales at home, but I think it's a bit over 13st. I was a comfortable size 16 but now I've been getting 18s more and more often and I'd like to get back down to 16 if possible!

  • Good luck Michelle, let us know how the first day goes! I've just given all the goodies in my cupboard away to my housemates so hopefully I won't get tempted once I start tomorrow...

  • Hi Fran and Michelle, would you guys like to exchange email addresses or something? I'm not too sure how to go about doing it because I don't really want to put mine up here publically but I am able to check my email a lot more often than I am this website. It would be great to have some mutal support, especially from people my own age.

  • I'm 40, 5ft 3 and 14 1/2 stone... oh my god how did that happen. I was always healthy and fit until about 4 years ago and have never really seriously done anything about it... but that changed yesterday when I re-joined a gym and today has been all good and healthy and it was really enjoyable to not eat any rubbish and still be satisfied without going anywhere near a bag of crisps!! roll on day 2
