Why are there no men taking the challenge?

  • Martyn Hughes

Hi Johnny. My name is Martyn. I have decided to take this challenge. I don't know if it's going to help me with what I want to achieve, but I'm going to give it a shot. Im 30 years old, 5ft 11 and quite slim apart from my very offending (protruding) stomach. with a 30minute workout daily and this challenge I HOPE to flatten it a little. Let you all know how I get on.

  • I started the challenge yesterday (12th Jan). I'm 34 and around the high end of 16st, so would like to lose quite a bit. I also need to introduce exercise but had ankle ligament damage back in April 08 and haven't done anything since. I'm also a shift worker which doesn't help plan meals....I think I'll leave that to the wife lol.

  • Agree we need more men to talk to because I for one am feeling pretty isolated and excluded. Diet clubs in my area are the worst - I can't stand another story about how tough it is to get your figure back after childbirth!

  • Darren ShimwellI have just started the longer term help as I am 5'11 and went from an athletic 13st down to 10st 12lb in about 9 months. I have struggled to justify eating so much and so often...I gave up playing squash and was eating just a small bowl of special k for breakfast and lunch with only 2 cups of tea a day in between and then something more substantial for dinner. I have realised what I was doing to myself was not right and I'm trying to follow something that will hopefully help me to have a healthier diet and give me the guidance I need to be healthy in the long term.
