  • Yes I quit smoking a year ago and unfortunatley put on a lot of weight! So starting healthy eating at the same time is a good start! I'm just starting my plan tomorrow and trying to cut down on the booze and snacks! Good luck to you!

  • Good luck, I used to work nights and know the dilemma well. I put on weight recently due to a change in favourite drinks- to cider- it's the most calorie-filled drink out there!! Arh! That must be why it tastes nice LOL! I have found a good substitute is 'light' lager (e.g. Coors light) with a dash of diet lemonade: it's sweet and fizzy. However now I am trying to be good, i save booze drinks for the weekend and stick to wine or vodka and slimline tonic (which incidentally is much better for not giving hangovers).
