The Challenge shoudl be used as a kick start towards a healthier lifestyle and this includes ensuring you are sensible about your consumption of alcohol.

When off The Challenge and working towards your healthier lifestyle, you should still ensure that you watch your consumption of alcohol. Official advice for women is to consume no more than 14 units and men no more than 21 units per week.

A typical glass of wine (175mls) contains 2 units, a single measure of spirit contains 1 unit and a pint of regular beer/lager/cider contains 2 units. Choose healthier options like white wine spritzers with slimline tonic or use mixers like low cal colas or lemonade.

    1. You will put on weight if you drink alcohol. 2. Alcohol will lessen your willpower. 3. Can you honestly have just 1 drink? or just 1 bottle?

I've just started today on this challenge but have a really good feeling i might actually get somewhere with this, one thing tho, I do like to have a drink on a friday, I have an 11 year old son who goes away for the night with his dad and after working all week its my one chance to relax and unwind, so I thought i'd plan ahead. . . I've found recently weightwatchers wines! perfect! they do rose, white and a red all very low calorie! that's my answer for the problem i know that i will i will face! i'll just swap my mid morning, afternoon and evening snacks for friday for a glass of red in the evening! there are 90 calories in a special k bar compared to 80 in a glass of weightwatchers red! problem solved! ; ) Its on sale at asda, and its about £4.50 a bottle and its surprisingly nice! !

Hello. I am on day two of the 2 week plan and wanted some advice. I sometimes have a snack between cereal, namely the Special K products. On the occasion when I am really hungry I may also have a low fat yoghurt or a piece of fruit. I just wondered if anyone has been on this for very long and has the same sort of problem and whether I should just try and cut snacks out all together!? I think it is all in my mind but since I started this plan all I can think about is food! Any help would be much appreciated! :)

hi, i was just wondering if its ok to have one night at the weekend where i could drink alcohol? if any one does do this have you still lost weight? i love cherry lambrini and i know it contains less calories than a glass of wine so its not that bad.
