Keep a food diary
An easy place to start is to keep a food diary for 3-4 days,
writing down everything - what you eat and drink, where you eat it,
and whom you eat it with. This type of journaling helps you clearly
see your own eating patterns so you can learn how to become
healthier.
Create your
Special K Personal Plan and use your
online food diary every day.

Set yourself 3 goals
Goal setting is tricky, as we all tend to want to achieve far
too much, far too quickly. Breaking a mammoth task into small bite
size chunks is often the road to success. Here are a few rules
to follow when setting your goals;
- Choose positive goals. Stay upbeat,
rather than negatives or "don't do this" rules.
- Be precise. Don't just say 'I will eat
more fruit', make it precise so that you can see if you achieve it
- e.g. 'I will eat a piece of fruit for my afternoon snack at
work.'
- Keep a note. Always write down your
goals and keep them in a safe place. Then when you
need that little burst of motivation have a look at it and remind
yourself of your goal. It may help to have an image or
photo of what you are hoping to achieve. For example, rip out
that magazine page with that dress you are hoping to buy or tuck
that holiday photo into your handbag.
- Share your goals. Talk to your partner or
friend who can then support you, or even join you. You can
also find support from shape buddies through
your Personal
Plan.
